Golden Treasures Gift Shop Volunteer

Support the Gift Shop which provides financial support to the Community for Positive Aging and creates opportunity for local senior consignors!

Duties & Activities:

  • Greet and offer assistance to customers

  • Answer Gift Shop phone and respond to messages

  • Restock and organize store merchandise

  • Track and balance cash and charge card receipts and transactions

  • Receive incoming consignor merchandise and donations items

  • Track and process all incoming items; price donation items

  • Clean, vacuum, and tidy up shop as needed

  • Follow procedures for opening and/or closing of shop, ensuring shop security

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Friendly, outgoing demeanor and excellent customer service skills

  • Be reliable and dependable

  • Ability to work independently and/or with co-volunteers

  • Basic math skills and knowledge of basic principles of cashiering

  • Ability/willingness to learn to operate cash register and credit card machine

  • Ability to accurately handle cash, make change, and complete paperwork

  • Commitment to CFPA’s mission and values, including promoting diversity, equality, and inclusion

Time Commitment:

  • 2-4 hour shift, once weekly
